More than 4000 households have completed their data in the E-Census, after which the electronic questionnaire was closed on May 7th, 2010.
The questionnaire was available on the census 2010 website,
www.qsa.gov.qa, since April 20th, 2010 enabling households to input their family data online.
This initiative was the first of its kind in the Arab world, introducing electronic and online access to the census questionnaire via the Internet. It aimed to provide households with the option to submit their information using modern technology. This step had a positive impact on the families as they were encouraged to participate in e-census which was available 24 a day.
