The Planning and Statistics Authority has successfully prepared "The Voluntary National Review of the State of Qatar 2021". It was presented by HE Dr. Saleh M. Al-Nabit, President of the Planning and Statistics Authority, on 12 July 2021, to the High-Level Political Forum, which was held on 13-16 July 2021 at the UN headquarters in New York. The United Nations Economic and Social Council's theme for this year's forum was entitled “Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that promotes the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development: Building an inclusive and effective path for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development". During the VNR briefing, all the questions raised by the participating delegations were answered. The VNR addressed a number of goals of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, including: End poverty in all its forms, end hunger and achieve food security, ensure healthy lives for all, promote economic growth, provide decent work for all, reduce inequality, ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, combat climate change and its impacts, promote peaceful societies where no one is marginalized, and strengthen national and global partnerships for sustainable development.
